Let's take a walk down the track of what has become & what is Replica Racing currently in 2024.
Replica Racing was founded in 2021 but wasn't brought to life until a few years later in late 2023. I have always had a HUGE passion for cars, the way certain vehicles bodylines just blend so perfectly together like a well taken turn or the way you can hear certain vehicles shift or that lopping tune, maybe even that fan favorite fluttery turbo or supercharger whine. Cars have brought me here & that love for cars is still burning bright as ever!
As a kid, some of you may know Gran Turismo, Colin McRae Rally 2.0, Need For Speed & the list goes on. I was ALWAYS customizing cars for hours on end making the most unique car setups & graphic designs from a young age that even back then when graphics were nothing like the insane 8K graphics that we have today, were pretty impressive. I had many people back then say I should be a graphic designer or learn to create vehicle customization but unfortunately I wasted many years doing other jobs that never took me to my creativity level that I once enjoyed.
Fast forward years later, I was working as a Manager at Mercedes Benz & sought the opportunity to network with some that had the expertise that I was seeking & thought to myself, "why not ask"!? So I eventually came into contact with an individual who got me into the right hands at the right time. I was so overjoyed that I was able to speak with someone who not only made a name for themselves in the car world but also was able to help me seek out the right people & NOT give up on my old dream I once had as a young child. From that point forward with the words of wisdom received, I went ahead and started going after that old passion and chasing after it as if I was looking at the back of Max Verstappen RedBull Car haha.
I was put into contact with the "right person" who I have the utmost respect for & the work ethic he has is unparalleled! His knowledge on how vehicles work down to a engineering standpoint is incredible. The love he has for Motorsport & cars in general, I knew he was the right person to talk to. He was looking for help in his company but was not sure where I would fit at the moment. He called me one day and we discussed about learning how to design vehicle liveries & doing photo work for them on their simulation that they use, Assetto Corsa. I knew at that moment "this was it", I was going to make this happen & get back into what I REALLY loved doing!
From here he pointed me in the direction of getting myself familiar with Assetto Corsa & eventually iracing as well. Over the Last year we have now created over a handful of liveries that you will find here on our site & possibly race against! I went ahead and gave myself a goal that I would start my own business, put a plan together to quit my job at Mercedes Benz and start making money for myself & bring back that joy I had once again.
Now in 2024 I have far exceeded that goal. I am now my own boss, creating & designing liveries for customers & businesses alike. I plan on bringing these livery ideas from simulation to the real world soon! We already have plans to wrap a Porsche GT4 & more vehicles in the future.
